Privacy Policy for Tezpravesh eVisitor Helper

Tezpravesh eVisitor Helper is a Chrome Extension developed to help authorized hotel staff transfer booking and guest/person details from the Tezpravesh hotel management system to the Rajasthan eVisitor check-in form. This Privacy Policy explains what information the extension processes, how it is used, and how user data is protected.

1. Purpose of the Extension

The single purpose of Tezpravesh eVisitor Helper is to assist authorized hotel users in fetching booking/person details from Tezpravesh and filling the Rajasthan eVisitor check-in form quickly and accurately.

The extension does not submit the final eVisitor form automatically. Document upload and final submission remain manual and under the control of hotel staff.

2. Information We Process

The extension may process the following information only when used by an authorized hotel user:

  • Hotel booking details
  • Guest/person details such as name, mobile number, address, gender, date of birth, document type, document number, and related check-in information
  • Guest document links/files when available for manual upload
  • Tezpravesh API token or authentication token
  • Basic extension settings saved locally in the browser
  • Rajasthan eVisitor form fields required for assisted form filling

3. How We Use the Information

The information is used only for the following purposes:

  • Fetching pending booking/person records from the authorized Tezpravesh account
  • Assisting hotel staff in filling Rajasthan eVisitor check-in form fields
  • Downloading available guest documents for manual upload
  • Marking records as uploaded after completion
  • Saving the hotel user’s token/settings locally so the user does not need to enter them repeatedly

We do not use this information for advertising, analytics profiling, credit checks, lending decisions, or unrelated purposes.

4. Data Sharing

Tezpravesh eVisitor Helper does not sell user data.

The extension does not transfer user data to third parties except where required for its single purpose, such as assisting hotel staff in filling information on the official Rajasthan eVisitor portal.

The extension communicates only with:

  • The Tezpravesh backend API
  • The Rajasthan eVisitor portal, when the user chooses to fill the form

5. Local Storage

The extension may store the hotel user’s Tezpravesh API token and basic settings locally in the browser using Chrome storage. This is done only to make the extension easier to use and avoid repeated token entry.

Users can remove or update the saved token from the extension settings.

6. Remote Code

The extension does not use remote code. All JavaScript, HTML, and CSS files required for the extension are packaged inside the extension. The extension only makes API requests to the Tezpravesh backend to fetch authorized booking/person data.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect data processed by the extension. API communication should be performed over secure HTTPS connections wherever applicable. Hotel users are responsible for keeping their Tezpravesh account credentials and API token secure.

8. User Control

Hotel staff control when the extension is used. The extension assists with form filling only when the user opens the relevant portal/page and chooses to use the extension.

Users may remove the extension from Chrome at any time. Users may also clear locally stored extension data from Chrome settings.

9. Children’s Privacy

This extension is intended for use by authorized hotel staff and business users. It is not intended for use by children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
